Trillanes remains defiant, says nothing will happen after 3 p.m.
A defiant Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV on Thursday afternoon dismissed the 3 p.m. deadline imposed by the Philippine National Police for him and Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim to surrender. "Believe me, nothing will happen after three o'clock," Trillanes told reporters at the second floor lobby of the Manila Peninsula Hotel where the opposition senator, Lim and other supporters are holed up. Trillanes also reiterated calls for Filipinos to support their cause and join in efforts to force President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to step down, saying it is the moral responsibility of the people to oppose abuses committed by the administration. The senator also asked the public to ignore "black propaganda" being directed against his group. - GMANews.TV
