Everyone stay calm, VP De Castro says

Vice President Manuel "Noli" de Castro appealed for calm in the wake of tensions at a Makati City hotel where Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Brigadier Gen. Danilo Lim have been holed up since late Thursday morning. "I urge everyone to remain calm so that the present situation can be resolved peacefully," De Castro said in a statement. He added that, "We should respect our democratic institutions, uphold the Constitution and the rule of law at all times." Trillanes and Lim walked out of Makati courtroom hearing earlier in the day and promptly called for President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's ouster. Judge Oscar Pimentel of the Makati regional trial court-Branch 148, who is hearing the coup d'etat case against Trillanes and the Magdalo, issued a warrant to "re-arrest" the senator and Lim.
