Shots fired anew as troops wait for Trillanes, Lim to come out

Just as tension at the Manila Peninsula Hotel started to dissipate, three gunshots were fired anew inside the hotel around 5:35 p.m., GMA reported. The shots came as government troops continued to wait for Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim to come out of the function room where they were previously staying. The cause and source of the shots were not immediately clear. Curiously, though, the shots did not trigger alert on the part of government troops at the hotel's main lobby, the report said. Minutes earlier, Trillanes and Lim decided to surrender to government troops who staged an assault on the hotel. - GMANews.TV
