The Pen posts message of reassurance on website


The Peninsula Manila posted a brief message of reassurance on its official website at the height of its takeover by Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim on Thursday. "The Peninsula Manila has been occupied by a group of gunmen. There are no reports of any injuries to hotel guests, patrons or staff, and the matter is being dealt with by the relevant Philippine authorities. "The Peninsula Manila takes the safety of its guests, patrons and staff extremely seriously, considering it to be of paramount importance. As such, The Peninsula Manila is currently being evacuated and hotel guests are being transferred to neighbouring hotels. The Hotel will continue to liaise and work closely with the Philippine authorities. "The Peninsula Manila is now closed until further notice.
