Magnitude 3.1 quake shakes Lingayen


A magnitude-3.1 quake rocked Lingayen in Pangasinan province Wednesday night, but state seismologists said no damage was reported. Radio dzBB reported Thursday that the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported the quake was recorded at 10:06 p.m. Phivolcs director Renato Solidum Jr said the epicenter was traced 19 km southwest of Lingayen town. He said the quake stemmed from the Manila Trench. Solidum said the quake was felt at Intensity II in Lingayen, but he said this was not enough to cause damage. He also said no aftershock was expected from Wednesday night's quake. - GMANews.TV
