Minor quakes rock Bulusan; Phivolcs warns vs entry into 4-km radius

At least seven minor earthquakes were recorded near Bulusan volcano in Bicol from 8 a.m. Sunday to 8 a.m. Monday, prompting authorities to strictly enforce a no-entry policy around the volcano. Radio dzBB reported Monday morning that the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded the quakes although it noted that no steaming activity was monitored in the area. The continued volcanic activity prompted Phivolcs to remind residents near the volcano that Alert Level 1 remains in effect. It also reminded local governments near the volcano's permanent danger zone to impose a no-entry policy within a four-kilometer radius around the volcano. - GMANews.TV
