Magnitude 4.2 quake recorded off Batanes

A magnitude-4.2 quake was recorded off the Batanes Islands in extreme northern Luzon, the United States Geological Service (USGS) reported.
In a report on its Web site, the USGS said the quake was recorded at 1:55 p.m., with the epicenter traced 85 kilometers northwest of Basco, Batanes.
The epicenter was also 195 km south of T’ai-tung, Taiwan; 455 km south of Taipei, Taiwan; or 705 km north of Manila.
There were no initial reports of damage or casualties. - GMANews.TV
