Iza Calzado bags Asian model award in Korea

Actress Iza Calzado bagged the Model Star Award from the Asia Model Award Festival held in Korea Friday.
“Syempre masayang masaya. Magandang experience ito. Nakita ko yung culture nila. Sabi nga e hindi mo talaga malalaman kung ano ang ibibigay sa iyo ng Panginoon," Iza said in a taped interview with Showbiz Central.
Meanwhile, Ms. Ida Henares, assistant vice president of GMA Artist Center, was awarded the International Cultural Exchange Award from the same festival.
“They told me na ang gagaling at ang gaganda ng mga dinala ko doon (na model). So I’m very, very proud of them and I’m very grateful na meron tayong ganito," she said.
On the other hand, Freddie Aguilar received the Asia Star Award.
“I’m very proud na narepresent natin ‘yung bayan natin," he said.
Model Robby Mananquil was named as Iza’s male counterpart and named as Male Model Star Awardee.
“I’m proud na na-carry at naiuwi ko ito representing the Philippine flag," he said.
