eTelecare gets board approval to form UK unit


Business process outsourcing company eTelecare Global Solutions Inc. announced on Wednesday that the company has gained approval from its board to form a subsidiary in the United Kingdom. In a statement to the Philippine Stock Exchange, eTelecare said the new subsidiary will be under "the contractual requirements imposed by Virgin Media." Virgin Media, based in UK, is a new client of eTelecare, which is also listed in Nasdaq. The company also said it will be contributing a maximum of $2 million into the subsidiary. No other details were disclosed. eTelecare is set to open in May its 7th office along Buendia, Makati which will accommodate 2,500 employees. This will bring eTelecare's total employees to 14,000. The company's other facilities are located in Libis, Quezon City, Makati City, Alabang and Cebu. - GMANews.TV
