Woman gets wish to meet ‘boyfriend’ FVR in the flesh

A woman finally met Saturday the man of her dream, more than 20 years after she first saw him on television, through GMA’s Wish Ko Lang. Carmen “ Mama Chuchay" del Rosario had been yearning to meet former president Fidel Ramos since she saw him led the EDSA People Power Revolution in 1986, which resulted in the ouster of former strongman Ferdinand Marcos. Ramos was then the vice chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines when he turned against his commander in chief. Chuchay claims she is Ramos’ number 1 fan. She kept, as a memorabilia, a P500-bill signed by Ramos when he was still president, among others. She said she also put her and her family’s pictures in the official photo of the First Family. Head over heels about the EDSA 1 hero, Chuchay could not resist pretending that Ramos was her “boyfriend." She said that’s what she told her niece after the revolt. On her bedside, she placed a laminated ceramic plate of her and Ramos’ photo so that her dream would come true…someday. Asked what she would do if she finally meets her idol, she said: “I’ll kiss him." View the stunning event by clicking the video clips of “Wish Ko Lang" above. - GMANews.TV
