Verde Passage and a mission to Bicol

Episode on January 30, 2008 Wednesday late night after Saksi This Wednesday, it's time for some serious business as Born to be Wild hosts, Romi Garduce and Doc Ferds Recio call for the preservation of nature and wildlife - both above and beneath the sea. At first glance, it may seem like any other part of the Philippine coastline. But beneath the surface, Verde Passage holds a priceless treasure. This 100-kilometer stretch of turquoise waters is considered the center of marine biodiversity in the world! Unknown to many, the richest and most diverse underwater ecosystem can only be found in the Philippines. Dive master Romi Garduce together with a team of conservationists show us what true beauty lies beneath the Passage, which is also one of the busiest waterways in the Philippines. Romi and other lovers of the environment call for the conservation of Verde Passage from the threat of oil and chemical barges that daily cross its waters. Meanwhile, Doc Ferds Recio is on a mission in another province known for its pristine beaches - Camarines Sur. The province, which is a developing eco-tourism area, is also home to different wildlife. Doc Ferds visits a deer farm to perform surgery to a deer in distress. Our vet-to-the-rescue also checks on Camarines Sur's tourism animals. Don't miss this episode of Born to be Wild, airing this Wednesday after Saksi!
Sina Romi at Doc Ferds. may misyon ngayong Miyerkules! Huwag palalampasin ang Born to be Wild ngayong Miyerkules, pagkatapos ng Saksi!
