Magnitude 4.7 quake rocks North Cotabato

MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 4.7 quake rocked North Cotabato province but did not cause any casualty or damage, state seismologists said Wednesday night. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded at 6:18 a.m., and traced the epicenter 7 kilometers southwest of Kidapawan City. It said the quake was tectonic in origin and was felt at Intensity III in Kidapawan City and Makilala in North Cotabato. Phivolcs said it did not expect damage or aftershocks from the quake. - GMANews.TV
