NCRAA: Arellano Baby Chiefs keep junior caging title


The Arellano University Baby Chiefs completed a double victory at the Emilio Aguinaldo College gym on Sunday by beating the Olivarez College Baby Sea Lions, 92-70, to retain the junior division basketball title of the 15th Smart-National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA). The Baby Chiefs' victory comes shortly after their senior counterparts who the title against St. Francis of Assissi Doves. "Bihira itong double championship, at back-to-back pa. This is history for the school. They are happy over this," said Baby Chiefs coach Junjie Ablan after they swept their two-game, best-of-three finals series. J.R. Carlos finished with 23 points for the Baby Chiefs who completed a 10-game sweep of the eliminations and the title series, the NCRAA said in a press statement issued on Sunday. Earlier, the comebacking Rizal Technological University Lady Blue Thunders took the women's plum after they subdued the Emilio Aguinaldo College Lady Generals, 98-72.
