It’s a boy for expectant parents Danica Sotto, Marc Pingris

MANILA, Philippines - It’s a baby boy for expectant parents Danica Sotto and Marc Pingris, GMA Network's Startalk reported Saturday. "Naiyak talaga ako. Hindi ko maipaliwanag yung nararamdaman ko," Marc told Startalk in a taped interview after they learned the gender of their baby. "It was more of masaya kasi alam ko na OK na yung baby," Danica said. "Baby boy so tuwang tuwa naman yung isa d'yan," she added referring to her husband. "Oo gusto ko talaga ng baby boy para naman may makalaro talaga ako...para naman kung wala ako may magbabantay kay Danica," Pingris said. Would-be grandpa Vic Sotto was also elated. "She's on her sixth month now so in three months time, by June, full fledged Lolo na ako," Vic said in a separate interview with Startak. Danica said her mom, Dina Bonnevie, was also happy although she expected that it would be a baby girl. "Si Mommy parang 'Oh! good, natupad yung wish ni Marc although ang hula niya girl'," she said. For his part, Vic said: "Ako kahit ano pero since boy, boy mas OK." The baby will be named Jean Mitchell after his father and grandfather Jean Marc. Danica said she had a compromise with Marc and his dad. “Nag-compromise kami sabi ko I’ll keep your Jean pero OK lang ba i-omit ko na ‘yung Marc pero M pa rin. So nag-isip ako ng another French name na maganda yung meaning. Ang French ng Michael e Mitchell." Danica said her condition is now OK. "Na-bed rest ako noon because I had subchorionic hemorrhage, after naman noon naging OK na," she said. - GMANews.TV
