Boy dies, 11 downed after eating turtle dish

MANILA, Philippines - A two-year-old boy died while at least 10 minors were hospitalized after eating a dish from a pawikan (sea turtle) in Davao Oriental province. Radio dzBB reported Thursday that authorities initially identified the fatality as Lawrence Antolin, who died before doctors at the Gov. Generoso District Hospital could treat him. The incident occurred in Lavigan village in Gov. Generoso town in Davao Oriental. Initial reports showed that at least 10 other minors were downed and are now under observation at the Gov. Generoso district hospital after experiencing vomiting, dizziness and loose bowel movement. - GMANews.TV
