Magnitude-5.4 quake rocks Isabela - Phivolcs

MANILA, Philippines - A quake measuring magnitude 5.4 rocked Isabela province Tuesday night, but state seismologists said it was not powerful enough to cause damage. Robert Tiglao of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded at 10:14 p.m., with the epicenter near Cauayan in Isabela province. "Walang kinalaman, malayo sa China (This is not related to the quake in China, it's just too far)," Tiglao said in an interview on dzBB radio. Tiglao said the quake was felt at Intensity IV in Palanan and Makunakon in Isabela, and in Baler in Aurora province; and Intensity II in Baguio City. He said no damage or aftershock was expected from the quake. - GMANews.TV
