Reds attack cell site near mayor's house in Bicol - report

MANILA, Philippines - Suspected communist New People's Army (NPA) rebels attacked and damaged a cell phone site of Globe Telecoms in Claveria town in Masbate province in Bicol, dzRH radio reported Friday. The report cited initial police reports indicating the cell site, which was near the house of town Mayor Eduardo Andueza, sustained damage in the attack. Police, which suspect "revolutionary taxes" as a motive in the incident, have started a manhunt for the NPA unit, which fled after the attack.
