Car dealer hammers parents dead

MANILA, Philippines — A car dealer, disturbed over problems caused by a bouncing check, hammered his own parents to death in their house in Mandaluyong City Thursday morning, a radio report said. Radio dzRH reported that Johnson Fernandez used a hammer and a pipe to bludgeon his parents Jose, 70, and Arsenia, 69 in different parts of the body at their house in Kayumanggi St., Plain View village. Neighbors said Johnson, a sales agent of Toyota Shaw Boulevard, had been "disturbed" for the past several days because of a bouncing check in one of his transactions. The report said a record check of the suspect also showed he had been confined to the National Center for Mental Health when he was still a teenager. - GMANews.TV
