Report: 2 houses, school blasted in Maguindanao mortar attack

At least two houses and a school were blasted in a mortar attack in Ampatuan town in Maguindanao province before dawn Monday. Radio dzXL on Tuesday cited initial reports reaching provincial police chief Senior Superintendent Alex Lineses that six mortar rounds were fired in Poblacion village at 4:40 a.m. The first three rounds fell on two houses while another fell on a school building. No one was reported killed or injured in the incident. On March 21, two people were reported injured in a mortar attack on the house of Ampatuan town mayor Mayor Datu Zacaria Sangki.
