Catholic bishop's sanitized blog site back online

Followers of a Mindanao-based Catholic bishop may now resume visits to his website several months after his old site full of racy ads was taken down. The old site, which hosted Cagayan de Oro Archbishop Antonio Ledesma's blog – bishopledesma.blogspot.com – displays a message that it has been removed. "Sorry, the blog at bishopledesma.blogspot.com has been removed. This address is not available for new blogs," read a message that greeted visitors of the old site as of Saturday. Ledesma's blog entries were transferred to his new blog site – archbishopledesma.blogspot.com – with entries dating as far back as December 2005. Just a few months ago, Ledesma’s old site hosted online ads seeking "webcam models" and invitations to "adult friends." [See: Bishop's old blog site now shows racy ad] Help wanted ads for a "Live Webcam Model" was offering the prospects for making "hundreds of dollars a day," featuring an image of a woman in a suggestive pose. On the left side was an ad for AdultFriendFinder, described as the "world's largest adult social network and sex personals." "Meet sexy singles... join for free!" the AdultFriendFinder ad said. The old blog, which was renamed "Bishop Le Desma," also contained a list of suggested "popular" sites on political humor, dating sites, and secret games. —Carmela G. Lapeña/VS, GMANews.TV
