Earlier, Basyang was forecast to head northward toward Isabela. But latest PAGASA data showed the typhoon has veered westward and was expected to make landfall in the Quezon-Aurora area either by Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Storm Signal No. 3 has been placed in five areas in Luzon, while Signal No. 2 has been placed in 10 areas.
