Phivolcs: Magnitude-3.6 quake rocks Masbate


A predawn magnitude-3.6 quake rocked Masbate province in the Bicol Region Thursday, but there was no report of damage or casualty. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded at 5:52 a.m. Thursday, with the epicenter at 21 km northwest of Masbate town in Masbate. Phivolcs said the quake was felt at Intensity I in Aroroy town also in Masbate, but said no damage was expected. It also said no aftershock was expected from the predawn quake. Thursday's quake occurred less than 12 hours after a magnitude-5.2 quake in Zambales province rocked parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
