The Embassy earlier reported there were 31 missing Filipinos in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami. Of the initial list, only one, Ella Iseyama from Tokyo, has been accounted for. (See: Embassy identifies 31 missing Pinoys in quake-hit Japan) GMA News Online has also set up its own People Finder for Filipinos in Japan, to help gather and systematize reports about the condition of Filipinos who were possibly affected by the quake and tsunami, or who are otherwise unaccounted for. Migrants’ rights advocacy group Migrante International earlier said it is also receiving reports of missing Filipinos coming in through the group’s hotline numbers, as well from those coming from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). ICRC had earlier set up a website to help missing relatives reestablish contact with their loved ones. Majority of the Filipinos reported missing appear to be married to Japanese nationals, Migrante said. Migrante can be reached through the following contact persons in Japan: 1.
