Cebu Pacific cancels six flights due to bad weather

Air carrier Cebu Pacific on Friday canceled at least six flights due to bad weather conditions related to Typhoon Mina (Nanmadol). In separate advisories on its Facebook page, Cebu Pacific listed the canceled flights as:

  • 5J-508 and 5J-509: Manila to Tuguegarao and back
  • 5J-404 and 5J-405: Manila to Laoag and back
  • 5J-891 and 5J-892: Manila to Caticlan and back
"Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights. You may also rebook within 30 days of cancellation or Travel Funds without penalties," Cebu Pacific said in its message to affected passengers. It also maintained the decision to cancel the flights stemmed from safety concerns. Typhoon Mina intensified further before noon Friday, and threatened northern Luzon. "We always place top priority in your safety; thank you for your understanding," Cebu Pacific said. — LBG, GMA News
